Ne-Yo: "Whitney's comeback album was boring"
Whitney Houston’s comeback album has been blasted as boring by Ne-Yo, after he was called into revamp it.
Singer-songwriter Ne-Yo was asked to give his opinion on eight new Whitney tracks by music mogul Clive Davis, but wasn’t blown away by the superstar’s latest efforts.
He says all its tracks focussed on her split from husband Bobby Brown and overcoming her drug problem.
“They all had the one same theme, which was ‘My name is Whitney Houston and this is my triumphant comeback’,” Ne-Yo says.
“We all understand she has gone through a lot.
“I’m sure we all get that but I think she needs songs about regular everyday life. So that’s what I’m planning to add to the album - songs about everyday emotions.”
