Thandie Newton urges celebs to go green
Crash star Thandie Newton has been trying to convince some of her fellow celebrities to green.
She’s penned letters to Madonna, Michael Jackson and Tom Cruise, but, so far, her pleas have fallen on deaf ears.
“I didn’t get one letter back,” the pretty actress says.
“I wasn’t judgemental. It was like, ‘In case you didn’t know here are some facts about the environment and some reasons why it turns out 4×4s aren’t that great to have in the city.’”
She added: “I was staying with Oprah recently and I suggested that she switches her whole fleet of cars. I really hope she does. It would do so much good.”
Thandie, who is currently staring alongside Will Smith in The Pursuit of Happyness, also sent letters to Chris Martin, Gwyneth Paltrow, the Osbournes and the Beckhams.
